THE TREE LAMP

This project is inspired by the natural forms: how the trees would interact with the sunlight and the lighting effects they would create. The general shape of the lamp is influenced by those trimmed street trees, leaving a neat tree canopy on top with a few main branches revealed below.

When the lamp is turned off, the Tree Lamp stands as a simple designed decoration piece at home, adding a sense of nature into the room and surrounding areas.

When the lamp is turned on, multiple light sources will shine on supporting branches inside the woven cover and create unique lighting effects and shadows on the walls and floor. The woven cover also could defuse and soften the light, creates a warm and relaxing environment.
